How do you get employees engaged in a coaching culture?

Once you’ve got the board raving about a coaching culture you need to make sure that the people who work in the business are equally excited.  Employee engagement is like an acorn – once it germinates it will grow into a tree that develops a strong and sturdy trunk and branches out to form a massive oak.

Isn’t employee engagement difficult to achieve?

A remarkable thing about employee engagement is that it is actually straightforward.  Provided of course the leaders in the business have excellent interpersonal skills!

Think about what gets you motivated in your job.  It doesn’t have to be anything earth shattering but the sort of thing that makes you feel excited and proud to be doing your job.  As a leader you should know what motivates your team members.  This will be different for each person - but finding out what really gets them excited about their job is the acorn to nurturing their growth.

The first step in engagement is connection

Coaching a business to understand how you connect with others is all about generating excitement about work to be done.
