Life before Emerge You book yourself onto a training course, make your travel arrangements, arrange cover for any urgent activities you have back at work, and arrive in the classroom on the first day, nervous but aware of the potential to learn new skills. After the introduction and icebreaker, the Trainer puts up a slide showing the course objectives. Your heart sinks. It’s not going to cover what you thought it was, and now you’re here, you can’t really back out without lots of explanations and questions being asked. So you stay – disappointed, frustrated and not really giving it your all. Does this sound familiar? The Emerge Approach At Emerge, we believe in value for money and giving you a good return on your investment. We also want your delegates to leave us with a feeling of satisfaction and time well spent, so in order to avoid disappointment, we have designed a new format of running your leadership courses. As well as providing detailed course outlines so your delegates are in no doubt of what to expect, we believe in providing a degree of flexibility and control that allows your delegates to shape their learning experience. For every course that is of two days duration or more, we will leave enough time for a ‘Wildcard’ session to be run. These sessions cover off some of the ideas that are often bandied around in the business world, but that no-one ever seems to tell you how to put into practice in the real world. Your delegates will practice their negotiation skills as a group, by deciding which of the wildcard sessions they feel would be most beneficial to experience, and we will run a practical, accessible session of their choice. Read on to see which ‘Wildcard’ sessions would appeal to your people.
