International Women’s Day (IWD) is a day when women are recognised for their achievements without regard to divisions – whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political. This year there is a strong call-to-action to press forward on gender parity by motivating and uniting friends, colleagues and whole communities to think, act and be gender inclusive. The theme for this year is #BalanceforBetter and we would love to hear of how you and your colleagues are celebrating and raising awareness of this day.
At Emerge, we are championing the cause and embarking on an ambitious challenge to support organisations with insights, tools and tips that their people will find helpful around gender parity and what makes women successful. If you don’t currently have anything organised and would like access to a very useful resource, then we would like to share with you a recording of a presentation that has been created to encourage positive dialogue amongst all employees. If you already have activities prepared, then you may find this to be a welcome addition to your messages or something that you and your people can draw inspiration from.
The presentation for International Women’s Day is focused on ‘The Key Traits of Successful Women’. You can expect the Managing Director of Emerge, Gillian Jones-Williams, to offer her experience of running a successful global business for over twenty years; will introduce the new Elev8 Model – the catalyst for success and present impactful stories of success through adversity. You will find the presentation packed with hints and tips to make you even more successful in everything you apply yourself to. Emerge would simply love for this to reach as many women as possible across the world.
Also, Gillian will be embarking on another challenge through IWD week…
In celebration of IWD 2019 Gillian will be travelling around London to conduct a “Speakathon” on Friday 8th March. Gillian will be embarking on a race around London to deliver a keynote speech with as many organisations as she can to raise awareness of IWD and in the hope to also raise money on behalf of the Aurora New Dawncharity – a wonderful organisation that supports people who have been victims of abuse, stalking, violence and crime.
If you would be interested in Gillian presenting at an event for your employees for FREE or if you would like access to our exclusive presentation in advance of IWD then do get in contact by emailing email@example.com. We will provide you with access so that you can either send this out to staff individually by e-mail or even better, why not arrange an event to increase collaboration where a group of employees meet, watch the presentation and then take some time to discuss the tips amongst themselves. This meeting could even be the beginning of them forming their own network in your organisation!
If you find the presentation useful, we would invite you to kindly donate a small amount to the charity Aurora New Dawn. Your kind donations can be made via this official JustGiving Link and will go on to make a huge difference and support those in need.
