To address this challenge, they partnered with Emerge to deliver the RISE Empowered Women’s Development Programme, a targeted women’s personal development course. This programme was specifically designed to empower and advance women within the company, boosting their confidence, visibility, and facilitating their progression through various career levels.
The client faced significant challenges in promoting gender diversity and inclusivity within their organisation. With a keen awareness of the need for equal opportunities for advancement and leadership roles for women, the organisation sought a comprehensive development intervention. They aimed to accelerate the careers of their women employees while fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual support among them. The organisation also recognised the importance of encouraging women to work together, ensuring they continued to support each other long after the programme had finished.
To address these challenges, Emerge implemented the RISE Empowered Women’s Development Programme, a holistic and powerful women’s personal development course. This programme was carefully designed to provide women with the tools, skills, and knowledge necessary to thrive in leadership roles.
The programme was first launched in the UK office, providing women employees with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel in leadership roles. This initial rollout laid the foundation for expanding the programme’s impact.
Recognising the need to extend the programme’s reach beyond the UK, an online version was developed. This virtual format allowed women from various international locations to participate, fostering networking and collaboration across different geographical regions. The online platform also made it easier for women to access the training, regardless of their location, ensuring a truly global impact.
Inspired by the concept of forming a “wolfpack,” the programme encouraged cross-departmental interaction. Participants were grouped into “wolfpacks,” which served as support networks during and after the programme. These networks enabled women to collaborate, share experiences, and continue their personal development journey long after the programme had concluded.
As the programme gained momentum, it expanded globally, reaching women in offices across New York, Los Angeles, Texas, Chicago, Canada, Australia, South Africa, China, New Zealand, Europe, and beyond. The programme successfully accelerated the careers of numerous women, helping them take on more significant roles within the organisation. Additionally, it emphasised the importance of self-sustainability and work-life balance, helping women avoid burnout and maintain their well-being.
Recognising the need to introduce some tools and concepts from RISE to newer and younger employees who weren’t ready to attend the full programme, the client introduced RISE Sprints. These shorter, focused modules provided a broader range of employees with access to essential personal development skills, ensuring the benefits of the programme were widely shared across the organisation.
To maintain the momentum and support networks created during the programme, the client established alumni evenings. These events provided delegates with ongoing opportunities to network and collaborate with other “wolfpacks,” fostering a strong sense of community and mentorship among women in the organisation.
