Stephen is a strategist, business leader, mediator and mentor with collegial style and determination to get things right. He engages through setting vision and open honest dialogue managing teams cross cultures with ease. A comfortable operator across commercial, NGO, diplomatic, governmental and regulatory environments. Background and Experience
Coming from a corporate executive level background, Stephen has a track record of leading business across a number of disciplines including Sales, Marketing, Strategy and Communications in the TMT sector. Working across Europe, Middle East, Asia and USA for >30 years has provided a diverse breadth of customer, contract and company interaction which Stephen brings to the fore in his consulting and training work. In his career, he has rebuilt several previously damaged CEO, CTO and VP level relationships across continents to new levels of trust. Stephen worked with a colleague to bring leadership development into the apprenticeship world, gained his AET qualification, and resultantly has been able to facilitate several Chartered Managers into being over the past 4 years. Stephen is experienced in provided group and 1:1 leadership development training and coaching. Stephen is trained in Strategy Development and for example has engaged with a client several times over the past year to help shape their DFID funded programme execution. Stephen is a CEDR accredited mediator (2002) and is experienced mediating across ICT, Property, Professional Services, Employment / Workplace, Community and Ecumenical sectors which provides him with additional specialist facilitation skills.
Stephen holds a Masters degree in ‘Middle East in Global Politics: Islam, Conflict and Development’ from Birkbeck University of London and continues his research into the impact of culture on International Relations and peacebuilding.
